Brian Zmich

Founder & President

Brian Zmich is the Founder and President of Zmich Recruiting Group, which he launched in 2012 to fix what he’d seen broken from the other side of the desk: recruiters who pushed candidates into seats that were never a fit, just to collect a fee. A former sales rep and sales director himself, Brian built ZRG on a simple idea — the best people to hire salespeople are people who’ve actually carried a bag and built a team.
Over more than 20 years in sales and recruiting, Brian has helped everyone from venture- and PE-backed startups to Fortune 500 companies build and scale their sales and marketing organizations — from SDRs all the way up to VPs of Sales. His sweet spot is the Atlanta tech community, but he’s run successful searches in nearly every major U.S. market. Clients keep coming back for the same reason candidates trust him: he’ll tell them the truth even when it’s not what they want to hear, and he’d rather send no one than send the wrong one.
Outside of recruiting, he’s a lifelong entrepreneur who has built, bought, and sold businesses across several industries — giving him an operator’s-eye view of exactly what it takes to build a team that performs.

Paul Evans

Vice President of Recruiting Services

Paul Evans is the Vice President of Recruiting Services at Zmich Recruiting Group, where he leads day-to-day search execution and helps clients build sales teams that actually sell. Paul came to recruiting the same way the firm was founded — through years in the trenches as a sales leader.
Before joining ZRG, Paul spent his career building and scaling startup sales teams across the Atlanta tech scene and beyond. At Tabbedout, he built the sales organization from the ground up, implemented the CRM, sat on the executive board, and helped the company acquire 5,000 locations in its first year. At Scoutmob, he was part of the nationwide launch team, driving membership growth across New York, Atlanta, San Francisco, Dallas, D.C., and Nashville while partnering with more than 1,500 merchants and consistently closing at a 70%+ rate. Along the way he has coached, trained, and mentored reps and managed sales teams across multiple markets.
That operator’s background is what makes Paul a different kind of recruiter. He knows what a great salesperson actually looks like because he’s hired, trained, and led them himself — and he knows the difference between someone who interviews well and someone who’ll hit quota. Paul is based on St. Simons Island, Georgia.
